Pacific Coffee Roasters was established in 2008 in Chilliwack, British Columbia by Lisa and Reza Ghaffari—united by a shared vision to bring exceptional coffee, crafted with intention and expertise, into everyday life.

Rooted in a multi-generational coffee heritage, Reza Ghaffari developed his roasting philosophy under the guidance of traditional masters in Milan, Italy. This old-world foundation, combined with his experience working alongside some of Vancouver’s most respected roasteries, shaped a meticulous approach to coffee—one defined by balance, precision, and respect for the bean. Lisa’s entrepreneurial insight and refined sense of brand building provided the structure to bring that vision to market, establishing Pacific Coffee Roasters as a name synonymous with quality across the Lower Mainland.

In 2013, the company entered its next evolution under the stewardship of Seth Lang and Mike Li. With a deep appreciation for the craft they were inheriting, they worked closely with Reza to preserve and document his roasting methods, profiles, and standards. This careful transfer of knowledge ensured that the essence of Pacific Coffee Roasters would remain unchanged—grounded in tradition, yet positioned for continued refinement.

Reza continued to lead as Head Roaster until 2015, playing a pivotal role in translating his artisanal techniques to modern Loring Smart Roasters at our new roasting facility in Delta B.C.. This integration of heritage craftsmanship with advanced roasting technology defines our approach today—where precision, consistency, and sustainability exist in quiet harmony.

From thoughtful sourcing and rigorous cupping to carefully profiled roasting, each step is executed with discipline and intent.
